We are grateful for the many people who regularly share their time and talent, and we wanted to make volunteering easy. Volunteers will be able to search the wide range of opportunities offered by the city, libraries, churches, businesses, and the hundreds of non-profit organizations serving the Anaheim community. Offering a few hours of your time a couple days a week can be more invaluable than you think, so search now to get started!
There are some things that the community all of us can do to make our city stronger, kinder and more unified. Imagine giving more of your attention to just being kind. Seems like an overly simple request and yet, can’t we all point to some of the most successful products, businesses, and communities that are founded on a basic concept like this?
The Year of Kindness initiative, introduced by the Mayor at his 2013 State of the City Year Address, furthers this philosophy. A 365-day effort that encourages all Anaheim residents and businesses to do their part and help create a kinder city.
By sharing ones talents, skills, and knowledge with organizations who need a little extra help, residents can start to connect and strengthen their community through volunteerism.
Starting with something as simple being kind, truly can create a community-focused city. To learn more visit www.anaheim.net/kindness.
